Your experience with C-Craft is one that we would like to be memorable, as well as the boat. To help meet this goal we feel an understanding of the whole process is the best place to start. We do this by attempting to answer common questions now, such as what to expect when you purchase a package, payment options, delivery schedules, what happens if something doesn't go as planned, and how we work out the logistics.

We want all of your questions answered and any concerns that you may have addressed. If after reading and looking through our pages, you still have questions, feel free to call the main number listed below or E-mail us if you prefer.

We have put together this site to enable you, at your leisure, to go through all the possible configurations that might suit your needs. (A database will be coming soon!)

In the boat building industry the way we schedule vessel construction is with a construction or building Queue. It works by allowing you, whether an individual or a dealership, to go through and see what has been taken in our time schedule. At that point you decide if the vessel construction time is acceptable for your needs. Your vessel production is based on its own building time and our available schedule. The completion date in the Queue is at our factory location. The time that it takes a vessel to be shipped to Seattle, WA which is about five days from Anchorage, and then additional delivery time to your location should be expected. (This Queue will be in the new database as well.)

After you have made your selection and the building time frame established we move to the agreement part of the process. You can print out your quote take it to your closest authorized Mercury dealer to obtain service and our authorization. Upon receipt we check figures, dates, times, and any other contingencies. Then we detail how your purchase is going to be paid. There is generally three ways for this to occur: (1) Four payment method on our larger vessels (23ft and up), consisting of a down payment on the boat material order, a down payment on the vessels power order, a down payment on the accessories order for the vessel and final payment upon shipping the vessel. (2) Two payment method which is most commonly used, one on the initial order and the final payment on the shipment of your order. The amounts and the ratios totally depend on the package. If your financial lender prefers we can work with them and arrange payment. (3) Of course there is always the customer that just walks in and buys outright.

In the quote there is a section that addresses possible complications and delays. Basically it's a daily rate deducted from the total purchase price that is figured at 19% annual interest, (based on your total factory purchase price).

Freight is an additional cost, and with the shipping we have done, just to give you an idea, it's about $550.00 (U.S.) to send a 16 ft vessel to Seattle from Alaska. We can and will help you find the most cost effective means of delivery to Seattle.
